Answer to Last Week’s Trivia Quiz: Congratulations to those who answered Daniel Morgan as the general in charge of the Patriots’ victory at the Battle of Cowpens. He is not as well known as he should be! I visited his gravesite in Winchester, VA. and there’s quite a story there! (His body had to be dug up and hidden to keep it from being stolen)
Thanks for taking part in the history quiz and keep reading to take part in this week’s poll!

Nestled at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers, Harpers Ferry is a treasure trove for history lovers. This charming town played a pivotal role in some of the most significant events in American history, from John Brown’s raid to its strategic importance during the Civil War.
As you wander its cobblestone streets, explore preserved buildings, and stand where history was made, you'll feel as though you’ve stepped back in time.
Pro Tip: Make sure you visit Jefferson’s Rock! It provides a spectacular view especially in the Fall.
☛ Spine-Tingling History For ‘Spooky Season’
According to an article that was published in a Philadelphia newspaper in the early 1880s, the ghost of Benjamin Franklin appeared at Philosophical Hall (near Independence Hall) in Philadelphia more than 90 years after his death.
The article referenced a mother and daughter cleaning crew who sighted the specter of the Founding Father wandering the building’s halls. 🗝
On this eerie occasion the busy and ever studious ghost of Franklin, holding a pile of books, pushed the mother of the crew out of the way so he could access a bookcase that she was cleaning. 📚
